Your Questions Answered
What's the difference between cool sculpting and fat freezing?
Cool sculpting uses suction in conjunction with the thermal shock. This often leads to deep bruising, scaring, and a longer recovery time. Body Sculpting with cryolyposis uses compression from the gas itself with the extreme cold creating a thermal shock which crystalizes fat cells and as they break down, your body eliminates them.
Does body sculpting/cryo sculpting hurt?
Body sculpting can be uncomfortable due to the extreme cold but should not be painful at all. Most clients report a slight stinging towards the end of the session. A rare client may have a hypersensitivity to cold, making body sculpting more uncomfortable than most.
What parts of the body can you treat?
Any! That's the beauty of body sculpting with cryolyposis. No downtime, no pain and any area of the body!
Are there side effects to body sculpting/cryo?
Everything in healing has side effects for certain conditions, situations, etc. Each service has it's benefits and precautions. Balanced BODYWORX ensures we communicate all potential side effects, potential after effects and more with clients prior to beginning any service.
Do you take insurance?
No. I don't accept any insurance at this time. I do not ever want a 3rd party unfamiliar with the client to dictate what the client needs for pain relief.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations are required 24 hours in advance. After 2x of cancellations or no-shows, clients will be required to pay in advance for any services.
Is pre-payment required?
It depends on the service. Pre-payment is not required for by-appointment therapeutic massage services. Book first, pay at the appointment. Prepayment is required for all aesthetic services after your free consultation. Prepayment for memberships is required and is automatically billed monthly. Pre-payment for repeat offenders of the cancellation policy is required.
How often do I have to come in?
This is completely subjective and up to the client; however, I will recommend options for best results after your free consultation or therapeutic services.
Can I swap services?
No. Each service is unique and cannot be exchanged with another service.
How many sessions do I need?
(See "How often do I have to come in" above.) Exceptions are for body sculpting - 6 sessions is the minimum.
How far can I book in advance?
Up to 60 days in advance.
Do you refer out if you can't serve me?
Yes. I often have clients referred to me by their physician, chiropractor, PT and other massage therapists. If there is a service or condition that is out of my scope of practice, I have a list of trusted professionals to refer to, as well.
